Eslewhere in the known universe request quote. ). There is a whole lot more to this incredible opener than an eagle and a steam engine, but i just simply ran out of room in the title. It's also in beautiful condition. It is 4 3/4 long and it's heavy exactly 3 ounces. The casting is crisp and clean with well defined grpahics as well as dates and shields. Let's take a good, close look.

At the top stands a proud american eagle, his claws resting on a tree branch. hTe piece is silver plated brass, and the plating has remained excellent with only a couple very small places where you can see brass. If you'd ever happen on another of these rarities, i guarantee it wouldn't be in this condition.

It's certainly the best example on the planet. That's the cutting and prying end. I wish i recognized the buidling in the circle, but i don't.

However, you can see the patent date of july 28, 1904. On the other side of the blade is that shield / maker's marking. I have not had time to research it, but i'll bet some of the pros recognize it on site. (lucky devils! ).

Here at 341, i have two prime directives. First i never, under any circumstances, use a reserve, and everything statrs at $9, sometimes even less. Second i don't clean, repair, or otherwise monkey around with anything. I push enough dust aside to note any flaws, but if i discovered it in some dusty attic, you can look forward to a little dust on it when it gets to your house. If it hsa a flaw or a wart, i'll tell you about it.

So rest easy and have some fun. Why not place a little tiny bid right now so's you don't forget about it later. If you stand back and look at the handle as a whole, it make you think of a totem pole. There is an american bison or buffalo, then below that si the profile of an indian chief.
Then, an old steam engine is just above a world globe. Is that exciting? Or what! You knwo what? It just might be old nickel plating rather than silverplate.
I just thought of that. It is no less darmatic from the back. The indian chief, the steam engine and the buffalo are all on that side as well.
If you aren't abolutely thrilled with this piece, i'll give you your monye back and even pay return shipping. It'll never leave this little shack again until they roll me out of here feet first. oGod luck. Buyer pays $4.50 for professional packing and insured shipping. (that is for u. S. Lower 48 only.
